my experience.

My experience using WordPress has actually been a pleasure. Blogging has never been my cup of tea, but I enjoyed writing about something that I am passionate about. The tools I found most effective were the slideshow and the ability to put videos in my posts. It really created a wide range of views for my followers. WordPress was difficult for me to get the hang of at first, but the most I used it the more that I liked it. It’s been a pleasure!

Hi, my name is Kennedy Jones.

When I found out that AfterDark Entertainment had booked Kennedy Jones for our end of the year show, I was beyond excited. He has taken the trapstyle bass music scene by storm, and I couldn’t be a bigger fan. The bass from his famous mix of Elvis Crespo’s “Suavemente” shook the walls of San Marcos’ own booming new night club, The Marc. The place was packed from wall to wall. One thing that stood out to me about Kennedy Jones was his love for the crowd. Most dj’s have security guarding the stage ready to throw out any brave souls that try to rush it. Kennedy Jones on the other hand encouraged his fans to jump up on the stage and join him. I think that small detail really upped the energy of the crowd and he killed the show! Not to mention afterwards, Kennedy Jones found great humor in taking a bunch of selfies of him and myself which topped off my night!

My most memorable experience at a show was when Diplo crowd surfed in a giant inflatable ball right overtop of me. I had waited for months trying to go to a show where Diplo would be and my first time seeing me, he crowd surfs right over me. Talk about an adrenaline rush!

This year I had the privilege of attending Mad Decent Block Party in New Braunfels, Texas and man was it one for the books.
The weather channel earlier that day had predicted a rainy forecast, but it couldn’t have been more wrong.
The atmosphere was euphoric as hundreds of people crowded in front of the stage.

My favorite set of the night had to be the closer, Diplo and Major Lazer. The crowd was intense, going insane at every bass drop. My favorite memory occurred during this set when Diplo climbed into his famous inflatable ball and crowd surfed…rolling right over top my head as the crowd lifted him up. Ill never forget the feeling of seeing one of my most sought after artists mere inches away from me.

Jahan Yousaf, Yasmine Yousaf, and Rain Man…

better known as Krewella.

On September 5, 2013 I was a part of an almost magical gathering of people of all types at Krewella’s first stop in their Get Wet Live tour featuring legendary Seven Lions and up and coming Candyland.

Up until now, every stop in this tour has sold out!

But that comes to no surprise to me having experienced one of the most inspiring shows of my life at this first stop in Austin, Texas.

The unity and passion that the crowd produced as something I can only describe as magical. With each track, the community standing before the members of Krewella sang along at the top of their lungs creating an atmosphere of one.

I always wanted all my information for music in one spot, and now that is possible. The “Stay Plurnt” app brings you newly released tracks, lets you find upcoming shows in your area, and allows you to browse and upload images from EDM shows that you want people to see!

This app will solve the problem of having to look in a million different places for everything that you want music related. Why wouldn’t you want the best of the EDM world all at the tip of your fingertip?

Only one of the most iconic festivals in the world of EDM, traveling all across the nation from city to city drawing in people from all around the globe for the experience of a life time.
I always heard people talk about that one festival that changed their lives forever, and for me…this was it.
I had saved up for months to see some of the top names perform. Nothing could prepare me for what was on the other side of the entrance…pure ecstasy. As far as I could see, stages…lights…and PEOPLE. People of all walks of life, dressed to the nines in rave wear and costumes. It was like something out of a fairy tale, it was life changing.
As the sun began to set, the lights began to illuminate the sky. Bass rattled from every corner of the raceway where the festival was held. People holding hands and singing, becoming one with the music. To see diversity unified was what did it for me. To see the amount of love that people were capable of showing to one another was breathtaking.
Ill never forget the feeling.
